$350 is crazy for the copilot. Its basically a $80 2.5" 2TB drive with a few extra ports and a small wifi controller in it. $150 I can see but $350 is completely crazy.
seagate is also selling a bridge made of gold for those who want to buy the 2TB drive for $350...
anyhow there is some merit to devices like these. keeps it simple for quick backups while on the go or for those who are not too computer savvy. but for the price premium one has to really wonder if this is worth it or not.
It has a screen, and it acts as a power bank. It does have some unique aspects and the DJI co-branding (as well as professional market focus) that put the pricing at a different level (compared to the consumer market stuff). I can't be for- or against- the pricing, but Seagate must have done their market research to determine the margins they can get from that product. Just my opinion.
Sorry, not WiFi at all. Requires connection to computer, tablet or smartphone via cable.
Does have ability to ingest from another device or the SD slot. Also provides battery power to drive so it can be used with phone or tablet to review photos or videos. The display is a nice addition so ingest can occur without connecting to computer, tablet, or phone. Reads from SD card directly.
For pros working in the field, this serves a critical need without a lot of extra equipment. This isn't a substitute for a generic external hard drive.
